Cross wedge rolling refers to a process in which a barstock undergoes continuous local deformation between dies on two rollers, resulting in the workpiece taking on the shape of the die groove. The dies are installed on the rollers and rotate in the same direction, compressing and deforming the barstock into a wedge shape as it rotates in the opposite direction.

2. Cross wedge rolling machine
This machine is very suitable for semi-finished parts rolling. Dies are fixed into the upper and lower rollers,
and heated working piece is automatic feed into the preset position through feeding unit, and then rolled
by the roller rotating.
2.1. structure
This machine is with main machine, transmission part, electric part, air pipe system, lubrication system,
feed unit.
(1) main machine: frame, upper & lower roller, center distance adjusting unit, guiding rails and upper roller
adjusting unit;
(2) transmission part: gear box, clutch, lower roller angle adjusting unit and safety guarantee unit;
(3) electric part: with adjusting, single, continue, automatic working model through PLC;
(4) feed unit driven by compressed air
2.2. guiding rails
Following-up rollers is between the guide rails and working piece contacting surface to make sure the
rolling piece with fine quality.
2.3. Lubrication unit
It with thick oil and thin oil lubrication. Four adjusting shafts of upper & lower roller are with thick oil
lubrication. The transmission gears and shaft plates in gear box are with thin oil lubrication.
2.4. gas driving unit
This unit for clutch working, 6kg/cm2

2.5. die cooling unit
This unit is to keep the die working in lower temperature to improve its life.
2.6. automatic feeding unit
This unit is to satisfy automatic forging lines. Heated working piece can be put in the V groove of this unit
and after sensor checking, then feed to the pre-set position by the push unit.
2.7. receiving and positing unit
Working piece after rolling drops into correct position of V-groove through an adjustable slide, after
positing, single will be given through positing sensor. The robot or manipulator can take the working piece.
2.8. safety guarantee
If overloading, brake will stop the torque transferring to avoid other components damaging. There is
electric safety interlocking program in the control system, and emergency button on the control cabinet
and operation panel.
2.9. electric part: Control PLC: Mitsubishi FX1N-40MR
2.10. water, compressed air and power source requirement:
