Equipment is rouged and reliable, consist advance IGBT based inverter technology
with state of art DSP controller provide trouble free operation for years.
B. DM UNIT :
Complete DM unit with nonferrous pump and heat exchanger.
DM unit are containing necessary gauge and valves.
Interconnecting hose pipe for DM unit to power supply (up to 10 feet) are included
C. INDUCTION COIL
Coil will make high grade copper with insulation on coil, coil designed with copper
end board based design which provides higher strength to coil.
We used ceramic tube and SS guide rail inside coil.
Currently consider TWO SET OF TWO COIL IN EACH SET, 125 mm RCS, 160
MM RCS coil
D. HYDRAULIC PUSHER WITH CONTROL SYSTEM
Hydraulic pusher will provided in front of coil, need to keep billet manually in
provided Vee, pusher will push billet inside coil at settable time.
7” HMI provided for fault display and other operating parameter.
All faults will display in HMI and fault will log in system for easy trouble shooting
and recording purpose.
Necessary buttons and pots are provided for require operation.
E. EXIT CONVEYOR

SCOPE OF SUPPLY
“IGBT” INDUCTION FURNACE
A. POWER SUPPLY UNIT

1. ELECTRICAL PANEL WITH METAL CABINET, duly painted, fitted with
duly gasket, lockable panel doors. For safety, Door Interlocks are provided to shut
of the power if doors are opened. Power connections are easily made through
the top and water connections are through the side of the cabinet. Provision for
easy power & water connection is provided on the cabinet.

2 . DISCONNECT AND PROTECTION System consists of :-
A. MCCB mounted in the cabinet to serve as isolation from the plant power
line.
B. Fast acting semi-conductor fuses are provided to protect the IGBT’S in
case of short circuit.
C. Semicron driver card to IGBT shot circuit and over voltage protection.
D. MF currant protection.
E. Dc overvoltage protection.
F. Dc under voltage protection.
G. Ground link Detector Protection.
H. Micro processor controlling system to fast tripping.
3. THE CONVERTER (RECTIFIER) SECTION is with filters and High
power IGBT’S with snubbers for rectification. Converter Module’s are fully fired
and are used in place of diodes to function as electronic switch. This
Considerably increases the life of MCCB. and electronically shuts off the
power in case of any malfunction.

D. C capacitors and air core current limiting reactor is also provided.
4. THE INVERTOR SECTION contains inverter plate containing high power
Inverter IGBT’S and DI / DT reactors. This is designed to provide full power
Throughout the heating cycle.
5. THE CPACITOR SECTION contains filter capacitor i.e D. C Capacitor to reduce the
ripple and power line notches and deliver smooth voltage to inverter section.

AC capacitors are provided in separate section of the control panel, used for
Commutation and power factor improvement.
6. CONTROL AND MONITOR SYSTEM comprises of two direct reading frequency meter,
Kilowatt meter. One main control board for controlling of the equipment which eliminates
Electronic complexity and simplifies maintenance. ON / OFF push buttons are provided on
the control door. One circuit monitor for monitoring and indicating the limits and faults.
One power control knob is provided on the main control door to select the desired power
level.
B. INTERNAL WATER SYSTEM ( OUTSIDE / INSIDE the panel)
This comprises of plate type heat exchanger, water tank with level indicator, one mono
block non-ferrous pump for internal water circulation. It also has a set of inlet & outlet
manifold with Temperature & pressure switches, flow switches & thermal cut-outs for different
paths.
CUSTOMER’S SCOPE OF SUPPLY
In addition to our supply, following is required at your end to run the furnace system.
Procurement & Installation of following equipment is Customer’s responsibility.
1. Power line up to furnace transformer of adequate current capacity.
2. Furnace transformer of suitable type and rating.
3. Power line from transformer to panel (Power unit) of suitable current rating.

SCOPE OF SUPPLY
ITEM 1: Solid state IGBT Power supply rated at 500 KW
The Interpower “POWER-LINK 3.0” Medium Frequency Power Supply is an all solid-
state unit employing the latest of the “State of the Art” in both power and control electronics.
The unit is specifically designed to operate in the harshest environments and will provide
trouble free operation for many years to come. The basic concept of the unit employs a
special type of power transistor called IGBT (Insulated Gate Bi-Polar Transistor) to allow
absolute turn on and turn off even at high operating frequencies. The ability to turn off these
devices at any time during the operating cycle makes for one of the most reliable type of
systems on the market today.
The power supply can run over a wide range of frequencies that is set by the configuration of
the heat station. The unit is complete with a line disconnect switch, power components,
solid-state controls, and all operator controls and safety devices.
Power Supply operation
The power supply will be operated through controls panel. The control panel will have
displays to indicate output Frequency and Kilowatts. A series of lights will show the status of
control functions. This includes the following: Status of Control power, Status of power
(Heat) On/Off, Power supply current limit, Status of Water pressure, Status of water
temperature, IGBT faults, over volt, under volt fault, coil short fault etc. and all other
Interlocks.
ITEM 2: Heat station components and interconnect cables
The heat station section will consist of load matching capacitors along with all required bus,
plumbing and safety interlocks. Heat station may be integrated into the power supply cabinet.
ITEM 3: Induction Heating coil – Two (2) Coils
▪ Induction heating coil for 90mm Dia.
▪ Induction heating coil for 75mm RCS
This item consists of Two (2) coils. Alternative coil sizes may be suggested by the customer
or decided mutually. Each coil will be built to handle the most rugged conditions. The coil is
coated for electrical insulation turn to turn. The coils include wear resistant skid rails, quick
disconnects for water, solid vibratory cast refractory good to 1650 degrees C, and high
electrical grade rectangular tube copper windings for maximum coil efficiency.
ITEM 4: Index conveyor
Interpower make index conveyor provides perfect solutions to carry billets from lower height
to the required coil line height. Index conveyor will have “V” flights onto which the operator
will load one billet at a time. The loading height will be between 500 mm – 600 mm. Once
the billet is loaded, at the appropriate time the “V” flights will index in inching method,
carrying the loaded billet to top and bringing empty “V” flights in front of the operator one
after another. This conveyor is motor driven.
ITEM 5: Hydraulic Pusher and Vee
There will be a hydraulic pusher followed by a V-guide at coil entry. Hydraulic power pack
will be part of the system. Billets will be pushed by pusher cylinder to provide a smooth push
in order to move the billet through the coil line. Required heavy duty sensors will be
integrated into the assembly to enable the automatic controls of billet movement and ensure
safety measures. This system is designed to provide an even push to billets, moving them
smoothly through the full line.
ITEM 6: Exit conveyor with accept/ reject
The conveyor will have a chain type fast extractor to extract heated billet from coil. The
conveyor will also have “3-Way Sorting” capability. This means that billets will be routed in
3 different ways depending on whether they are under temperature, over temperature, or
acceptable. The billet temperature will be monitored by an infrared optical pyrometer (not
considered in this item/scope) for quality control of heated billets. Interpower will provide a
drawing to the customer so that the location and direction of the gates is approved in advance.
ITEM 7: System controls
PLC and HMI based controls system will be provided to control the entity of the system
including power supply. All faults display, parameter settings, auto cycle start/stop, manual
operations etc. can be done through this system. This system also has facility for recipe
storage facility, data logging etc. and fault trouble shooting through visual pictures. This
system HMI maybe mounted on the power supply unit. Through pyrometer (not considered in
this item/scope) output part temperature can be measured, displayed and logged as per
customer requirement.
ITEM 8: D.M. water circulating system
An indoor D.M. water circulation system completes with a non-ferrous pump, reservoir tank,
plate type heat exchanger and all required valves and plumbing.
ITEM 9: Testing, Startup labor, Training, and Manuals
Testing
The system price includes testing at Interpower Induction. Customer is welcome to visit our
plant, view the ready system and witness cold trials with customer supplied test material.
Startup labor
The start-up and commissioning of this machine is expected to take about seven (7) days after
the machine has been installed and utilities have been provided by the customer. The actual
expenses are not included. Start-up cost has been mentioned separately below.
Training
Training will also be given during the startup service. Training is also available during the
testing phase at our facility for no charge.
Manuals
Manuals, Interconnection, and plumbing drawings will be supplied in electronic format
and/or in hardcopy.
SPECIFICATIONS - UTILITIES
The system will require high quality water to cool the induction components. Water
temperature should not exceed 32 degrees C and should be above the dew point. A
differential water pressure on the manifold of 30 PSI is required. The system is based on 415
volts, 3-phase 50 hertz power to the controls and 480 volts, 3-phase 50 hertz input power to
the power supply through an isolation transformer. The total input requirement of power
supply and auxiliaries is 675 KVA.
NOTE: Line isolation transformer and cooling tower is in customer scope.
DELIVERY: Presently (18) to (22) weeks for the equipment. Delivery date
confirmation will be made upon the receipt of the purchase order and
completion of quoted payment terms. INTERPOWER INDUCTION
always tries to meet special delivery requirements.
COLOR: Safety Blue RAL 5017.
START-UP: Erection and Commissioning charges of INR 1,00,000 will be
additional and charged right after commissioning. Actual expenses
associated with travel, lodging and boarding will be additional and
charged at cost.
INSTALLATION: Customer is responsible for all interconnection wiring and plumbing
between components.
DRAWINGS: Complete installation drawings with wiring diagrams, inter-connect
drawings, and instruction manual with spare parts data.
PAYMENT: 30% down with purchase order, 30% due at midpoint of the order, 40%
prior to shipment.
FREIGHT: All prices are Ex-Works our Plant in Ahmedabad, India.
PACKAGING: Packing & Forwarding (2%) of Ex-Works Price will be billed
additionally.
TAXES: Prices listed do not include sales, use, excise, personal property or
similar taxes. Any city, state or federal taxes shall be paid by the
buyer.
WARRANTY: INTERPOWER INDUCTION fully warrants that the equipment
supplied shall confirm to the description in this quotation and agrees to
repair or replace, F.O.B. shipping points and parts that fail, due to
defects in material and/or workmanship within one (1) year after
startup or (14) months after shipment, whichever comes first. All
travel and living expenses will be charged
INTERPOWER INDUCTION makes no warranty (expressed or
implied) of any other kind with respect to the equipment.
INTERPOWER INDUCTION liability for any and all losses and
damages to purchaser resulting from defective equipment shall in no
event exceed the cost of repair or replacement, F.O.B. shipping points,
of defective parts. In no event shall INTERPOWER INDUCTION be
liable for incidental or consequential damages.
TERMS: A “Late Payment” charge of 2% per month will be made on the unpaid
balance due more than 30 days after due date. Unreasonable delays in
payment may result in the cancelation of the order and further charges
may be applied. Any other item not specifically mentioned in this
techno-commercial proposal is excluded from our scope of work. In
case of conflict between the purchaser’s specific terms and Interpower

A. POWER SUPPLY UNIT:
250 Kw, 2-3 Khz power supply unit with IGBT inverter.
Unit designed with voltage fed invertor with diode in convertor.
Input voltage is 415 V, no additional transformer requirements.
B. DM UNIT:
Complete DM unit with nonferrous pump and heat exchanger.
DM unit are containing necessary gauge and valves.
Interconnecting hose pipe for DM unit to power supply (up to 10 feet) are included.
C. INDUCTION COIL:
Two number of induction coil are included. Currently we include coil for bar diameter
50 mm and 70 mm.
D. BAR HANDALING SYSTEM
Bar handling system suitable for 6 meter bar, you can load 10 Bar at atime, bar
travel inside coil through VDF control pinch drive system.
E. TWO YEAR OF WARRENTY
Complete two years of warrant on semiconductor parts like IGBT, DIODE, FUSES

Technical Description of IGBT based Hadron Series of Induction
Panel
 Our power supply unit designed across hybrid semiconductor modules.
 Total Power control is done based on high speed digital signal controller.
 Adaptive power control using PWM frequency, Phase angle and duty cycle
modulation in high frequencies output.
 Smooth DC startup for minimizing voltage fluctuations on DC bus across
IGBT.
 0.99 Input PF at any load conditions.
 Very low Total Harmonics Distortion using ZVS technology Switching.
 In Master Card total IO control is based on optocoupler and MOSFET to
minimize voltage interference and signaling delays.
 Auto power control using 7” touch HMI and Auto load manager using
auxiliary load energy meter.
 Fault finding using multi tripping indications and its photo displays.
 Data logging using history table for minimize the maintenance time.
 Day wise power consumption record with units/ton calculation.
 Low maintenance, compact, high efficient state of the art power supply.
 IGBTs and it’s Driver cards are designed and supplied by Semikron,
Germany.
 Best efficient LLC design for minimize the inverter current and switching
devices failure.
 Fiber Optic connections in pulse transmission to reduce electrical and
magnetic interference and increase the high frequency system bandwidth.
 All the integrated circuits used in master card are industrial and automotive
grade to operate at 85 and 125ºC.
 More than 50% DM water circulation path are removed in compare to
traditional units.
 By connecting HMI with internet through Ethernet it monitored by
authorized persons from anywhere in the world.
 Multi-functional frequency selection option through HMI.
 Limit settings of currents, voltage and KW are done through HMI, no
requirement of professionals to change the limits
 Sensitive Earth leakage tripping through Input three phase current.
 Wiring are done through push to plug connectors to minimize Human
efforts.
 Good quality aluminum side plates and refractory top-bottom used for long
life of melting crucibles.
 EC grade copper for low power losses and long life.
 Epoxy Varnish with fiber glass tape used for coting of coil and bus bars for
longer insulation life.
 Fast tripping MCCB and semiconductor Fuses for avoid damage during
short circuit conditions.
 In built R/Y/B phase sequence identifier
CUSTOMER’S SCOPE OF SUPPLY
In addition to our supply, following is required at your end to run the furnace system.
Procurement & Installation of following equipment is Customer’s responsibility.
1. Power line up to furnace transformer of adequate current capacity.
2. Furnace transformer of suitable type and rating.
3. Power line from transformer to panel (Power unit) of suitable current rating.
4. 415 / 440 V, 3 Ph, 50 Hz power supply to all auxiliaries like pumps, cooling towers,
Hydraulic power unit etc.,
5. Cooling tower connection to DM unit.
6. Consumables like Air, distilled water, etc.,
