Cold Former Model А0937
The Cold Former is designed to produce workpieces of nuts holed for thread; bushes; rollers and shouldered parts etc.
Employed in the Cold Former is a centralized oil lubrication system provided with necessary interlocking devices designed to stop the Former operation in case of no oil in the system.
The Cold Former control is based on a programmable controller S7-300 from Siemens.

3.2. Cold Former Model АБ0924А
The Cold Former is designed to produce semi-finished ball pins and M24x50…220
bolts made of sized steel with ultimate strength of σT < 690 MPa.
The Cold Former consists of the following components:
Machine frame is a steel casting; all the other machine units are secured to the frame.
The frame is installed on a welded pan which serves also to collect oil leaks.
The machine is driven from an asynchronous motor with a frequency-adjustable drive via a V-belt drive.
The drive shaft is mounted in antifriction bearings; it is secured to the frame.
The flywheel is bracket-mounted on the cup fastened to the frame with the help of a cover plate; thus the flywheel weight and V-belt tensioning load are not applied to the drive shaft.
The brake pulley is bracket-mounted on the drive shaft.
The intermediate shaft is mounted in antifriction bearings in respective cups.
Rotation is transmitted to the longitudinal shaft via bevel gears.
Longitudinal and Cross Camshafts. Arranged on the longitudinal camshaft are the cluster cam of cut-off mechanism and two disks intended to inter-act with the induction limit switches (ILS)- one of them serves to send a command to arrest the slide in its dead back center, and the other – to control the pusher stroke.
Arranged on the Cross Camshaft are the cluster cam of the knock-out device and the cluster cam intended to drive the workpiece transfer carriage.
The workpiece transfer mechanism is driven from the cross camshaft, and the tongs opening/closing drive is from the vertical camshaft via the cluster cam. The workpiece transfer drive is a crank-type unit equipped with a rack-and-pinion transmission.
The eccentric-type crankshaft runs in antifriction bearings.
The bearings employed in the crankshaft and conrod are provided with temperature control facilities.
The slide unit consists of a conrod and slide proper. Mounted in the slide are the arms of punch-knock-outs of the 1st ,2nd and 3d forming stations. On the 4th station a respective hole is provided in the slide to drop a trimmed part.
Employed in the machine is an rocking-type cut-off mechanism driven from a cluster-cam arranged on the longitudinal camshaft. The cut-off mechanism serves to cut-off a slug of required length and to feed it to the pusher center line. Used in the machine is a closed bushing-type cut-off system.
The trimming device is an integral part of the machine and is secured to the front wall of the frame between the conveyor and the thread rolling device.

The thread rolling device serves to roll thread on bolts formed with the help of respective flat dies.

Employed in the machine is a combined lubrication system: centralized recirculation oil lube system driven from an individual drive, intermittent manual grease lubrication with the help of grease gun.
Tools lubrication system (which is also a cooling system) is of closed recirculation type and is provided with individual drives. Provided in the lubrication system is a fluid consumption control feature; oil is collected in a separate reservoir in the machine pan.
The Cold Former is provided with a sound enclosure intended to reduce the noise level and also to exhaust oil vapours etc. from the forming zone.
The Cold Former control system is based on S7-Siemens programmable controller. Input and display of machine parameters are on the OP27 Siemens operator panel arranged on the control desk.
